Congratulation, the new President of the United States is George W. Bush... what's that? he already has been? Well it looks like there is not going to be a need for any recounts this year, the victory was decisive, with the President winning by over 3 million in the popular vote. However, there are a few things that we have learned after this long election night.
  • The Washington Redskins curse has been broken. Apparently in every previous election, whether the Redskins have won or lost their last October game determined who won the election. But what were we expecting? The Red Sox won this year, all bets were off.
  • The Youth vote was all talk. 17% voted this time around, 17% voted in 2000. People obviously weren't scared by P. Diddy's "Vote or Die" campaign, maybe if someone with a little more street cred had been an advocate, there would have been a different outcome.
  • Dan Rathers needs to be fired, I mean did you hear him last night? He asked the Kerry Daughters about getting Margarita's with the Bush twins, and he asked the same question three times when he was interviewing Karen Huges.
  • Other than the American people, John Edwards is the biggest looser of this whole ordeal. Kerry still has his Senate seat because he wasn't up for re-election, but Edwards WAS and gave up the seat to run with Kerry. Not only that but the Senate seat that Edwards vacated was won last night by a Republican. So now Edwards is jobless, good thing the president working hard to create new jobs!
